Miles. Lots. I’ve ridden several hundred thousand of them. Coast-to-coast. North-to-south (and vice versa). And lots in between.
What motorcycles do I ride? Predominantly sport touring bikes. Ideally with a shaft drive, hard bags, full fairing and a big gas tank.
Adventure riding is also up my alley: I love blasting along jeep roads in the mountains, forests and deserts.
No shortage of off-road riding experience either: through creeks, mud, rocks, over fallen trees, up and down near-vertical cliffs, in the Rockies, and on the beaches of both coasts. I’ve owned and/or ridden bikes from most every major manufacturer, and sometimes jaunt around on a cruiser (American or otherwise).
Where do I sleep? Campsites in National Parks, National Forests, State Parks, and State Forests. Fine hotels and motels. Bad motels. Friends. Family. Rest stops. Picnic tables. Under a bridge. On a curb (beds and/or tents are better).
Currently residing in Ventura, CA.
The riding bug infected me in the 70’s. Don’t know that I’ll recover.
